Visit Jonathan Adler’s $4.2M Palm Beach Home

Ceramicist and design personality Jonathan Adler and his husband, fashion commentator Simon Doonan, just added this Colonial house in Palm Beach, Florida, to their real estate portfolio. The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom home was originally designed by architect Maurice Fatio in the late 1930s, and updated about a decade ago. Scroll down to tour the couple’s new warm-weather oasis! We can’t wait to see how they make it their own with a healthy dose of maximalist style.

There is plenty of room in the front lawn for their rescue pup, Foxylady, to run around! The traditional facade blends in with the architectural style of Palm Beach, an area that Jonathan and Simon frequent on the regular (they previously owned an oceanfront condo).

In the living room, pickled white oak floors feel like a breath of fresh air with all of the grandiose design elements, like swag valances over the windows, grandmillennial prints and antiques.

There is plenty of room to sit and mingle, and place your drinks on the many cocktail tables scattered around the space. A large-scale traditional painting evokes a gallery feeling.

Just off the living room is a formal dining room with a classic settee, round cloth-covered table and opulent chandelier.

A cypress-clad ceiling injects plenty of warmth into the all-white kitchen, accented with cloud-like marble and farmhouse-style pendant lights.

Vintage treasures abound in this intimate sitting room. The antique console, grand bookcase and mix-and-match seating feel storied not stuffy.

This plush daybed is the perfect spot to flip through a magazine or take a siesta after a day at the beach. Textured wallpaper, vintage paintings and eclectic drapery make this nook a designer-worthy hangout.

The hallmarks of Palm Beach style — pops of coral and other preppy colors — take center stage in this playful guest bedroom.

In another bedroom, a sweet painting is the inspiration behind the floral bedding and lavender throw.

The principal bedroom boasts a vaulted ceilings, vintage-look bed with a canopy and double doors leading to the luxe ensuite.

Who wouldn’t wanted to practice some self-care in this luxurious principal ensuite? The sanctuary is outfitted with a soaker tub, walk-in shower and vanity overlooking a sea of palm trees. How dreamy!

The side and back of the house is extra private thanks to a wall of lush palm trees. The silver cobblestones, charming lanterns and colorful plantings create an Instagram-worthy backdrop.
