This simple entry hall sets a calming tone for the entire house.
Peter brightened a classic hallway by painting the walls and trim white, and installing engineered teak floors and a neutral stair runner. The kitchen island features lovely display shelves that are visible from the front door.
An old fireplace gets a clean-lined facelift for a comtemporary upgrade.
In the home’s living room, Peter Fallico — host of HGTV’s Home To Flip — gave the fireplace a bright, new look by covering the previously brown brick-clad front with wood trim and creamy white paint. Built-in shelving provides storage and display surfaces while adding architectural interest. Light, leggy furniture keeps the room open and airy.
Upper and lower cabinets don’t always need to match to create a cohesive kitchen look.
Peter paired a bank of white lacquered uppers with more traditional profiled wood doors below, for a look that's fresh and new. A large island houses storage as well as the sink, while vintage-look industrial pendants add sparkle and personality.
A large cross-based table, Parsons chairs and an upholstered bench create a comfortable, relaxed tone in this design.
DIY expert and HGTV host Peter Fallico chose Very Pale Grey (6198-21) paint by Sico for this sleek and calm dining area. An existing bay window displays white and smoked-grey glass vases. Fallico also selected new engineered teak flooring, which runs through the main floor, for its not-too-dark tone and handsome grain.
A modern grey palette and traditional furnishings pair beautifully to create this peaceful space.
This gorgeous bedroom — designed by HGTV’s Peter Fallico — boasts some unique finds. The upholstered bench is made from a coffee table that he found in the trash and topped with a seat cushion, while the white side table is a flea market find. The palest of pale grey hues for the bedding and walls keeps the look contemporary.

Wall to wall carpet and mounted ceiling lights add polish to this room.
Peter Fallico, host of HGTV’s Home To Flip, renovated this basement to be a functional and liveable space. Faux-wood wall panelling was replaced with drywall and painted a neutral colour to update the space. Pot lights and a floor lamp create lots of lighting options to keep the room bright and comfortable while affordable nylon carpet on the floor creates warmth. A large slipcovered sofa is easy to clean and great for lounging.
Surface space is maximized in this tidy basement laundry room.
Peter Fallico — host of HGTV’s Home To Flip — renovated this laundry room to be clean and functional. Cabinets from Ikea and side by side laundry machines allow for one long countertop that can be used for storage and extra folding space. Fresh white paint on the ceiling and walls keeps the space light. A basic kitchen sink and faucet are perfect for a laundry room while finishing the edge of the melamine counter with metal trim elevates the overall decor. Pictures leaning along the countertop and coordinating containers for storage creates a pretty and polished look.
An old brick mudroom gets a bright facelift with lots of natural light.
While renovating an old Toronto house, Peter Fallico — host of HGTV’s Home To Flip — left no room unaltered. Refinishing this space — an uninsulated, brick-walled “heat-loss zone” — entailed framing, insulating and drywalling it, plus closing in a small window and adding a skylight. Now, this gateway from the kitchen to the backyard and basement is an inviting and airy space. A bench built from Ikea cabinets offers storage.
