See Inside Jennifer Lawrence’s $8M L.A. Home

It may be common knowledge, but it’s worth repeating: Jennifer Lawrence is a bona fide movie star. With an Oscar for her role in Silver Linings Playbook and four Academy Award nominations, including a Best Actress nod for her role in Joy this year, it’s only fitting she has the stunning Los Angeles mansion to go along with her success.
She bought her current Los Angeles home for a reported $8 million and if it looks as good in real life as it does in the pictures, we’d say it was worth it. Just wait until you see the backyard. Take a peek inside!

The 5,500-square-foot home, located in the Hills of Beverly (an exclusive gated community), came with a celebrity pedigree when she bought it just over a year ago — previous home owners include Jessica Simpson and Ellen DeGeneres. Her current neighbors are pretty great too — they include Cameron Diaz, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher. We can only imagine how fun their block parties must be.

The sweeping staircase makes a rather grand impression upon arrival.

Just off the main foyer is this casual living room. The entire house had been renovated and updated just prior to J.Law moving in — all she had to do was bring the furniture.

Another view of the elegant living room.

The formal dining room is adjacent to the living room.

What’s a multi-million dollar mansion without a gourmet kitchen? Out of view, there are seriously impressive restaurant-grade stovetop and ovens. The kitchen and breakfast nook lead out into the back garden.

The massive principal bedroom features a seating area and, beyond the French doors, a balcony — perfect for that warm L.A. climate.

The main ensuite bathroom is just as spacious — the tall beadboard wainscoting gives the room some rustic charm.

There are five bedrooms in total.

This bathroom has an Old Hollywood feel. There are five and a half bathrooms in the house.

The casual living room has plenty of windows and French doors which lead out to the garden, as well as a bar in the back corner and beautiful beamed ceilings.

Not only is this a mega walk-in closet, it also doubles as a makeup and hair station. No schlepping to the salon required.

Leading out from the kitchen and past the casual living room, the flagstone path leads to the gorgeous backyard oasis.

Even at night, it’s spectacular.

A koi pond is a pretty focal point.

Like Jennifer, this house has no bad angles.

This lap pool sits at the bottom of the garden, with surrounding mature trees offering plenty of shade and privacy.

And finally, the view from the street.
