The NYC Loft In The Devil Wears Prada Is For Rent
The Devil Wears Prada features interiors that have us swooning. One of the apartments that appears in the film is now for rent. For $23,000 a month, you can live in the Soho loft that was a set for an industry party where Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), first met the rakish journalist Christian Thompson (Simon Baker).
The pad on 56 Crosby Street features two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, retains the exposed brick wall shown in the film, and has a private elevator. Corinthian columns and oversized windows are found throughout the 3,700-square-foot space, while a 16-inch ceiling is accessorized with some of the coolest lighting fixtures. The exposed brick wall adds major impact to this simple entryway, creating an unforgettable introduction to the home.
Faux grass carpet juxtaposes with pops of red in the otherwise neutral interior, adding a quirky feel to the space. An array of hanging pendant lights keeps things interesting.
The kitchen plays with open storage, giving off a casual feel – a major change to what we witnessed in the film. No glam here!
Instead of a wall, a grande column separates the living room from the home office.
This textured fireplace makes a subtle but strong statement. It looks as though pieces of paper were stacked on top of one another to create the unique finish.
A modern pedestaled bed contrasts eclectic artwork, while a peacock green chair adds a sense of humor to the bedroom.
Wallpaper in the children’s bedroom makes a playful statement.
