Urban Cool Meets West Coast Warmth In This New Kitchen
This stunning kitchen on the Sunshine Coast in B.C. takes full advantage of its high ceilings and picturesque views. Offering a sense of drama, the Denman panel doors are painted in a custom color from Merit Kitchens and anchor this large space while the light, natural wood floors, exposed beams and wood accents provide a warm counterpoint.
The custom kitchen island features a sophisticated combination of slatted-wood detail and built-in shelving. Wood is stained in Seaside Timberwood, a warm neutral that pairs nicely with the brushed gold hardware and lighting. The Ethos door style in Maple can be seen on the inside island bank of cabinets.
To keep the large kitchen-living-dining space looking cohesive, the same black cabinets and slatted-wood detail from the kitchen were used on both sides of the fireplace to help create continuity and interest.
