Inspiring Spaces: Lauren Petroff’s Favorite Hotel Bedroom
This room at the Ett Hem hotel in Stockholm has me swooning! I love the elegant and sleek design of the space that gives off the feel of a gorgeous city residence in the most warm and welcoming manor. The expert layering done here with the different materials and textures leaves little to be desired. I’m amazed at how the wood, velvet and knit has been worked in with the enamel, wall and ceiling moulding so seamlessly. The color palette is rich yet calming with unexpected hits of mustard yellow, which really gives it a sense of energy and playfulness.
The carefully curated pieces really provide an old world aesthetic to the room. The fireplace and wooden chair bring that vintage feel while the bed frame and art piece is more contemporary.
A Saarinen dining table offsets the Serge Mouille floor lamp effortlessly — keeping it minimal while still giving some personality to the space.
