Fake Architectural Detail With Paint

If a room lacks architectural oomph, create trompe l’oeil wainscotting with painter’s tape. Sarah Hartill applied a pewter shade to the bottom part of boy’s bedroom walls to contrast the mint upper walls and ceiling. This gives dimension to the room, without investing in millwork.
