Light-Filled Stairway

Vancouver architect Howard Airey and designers Carrie McCarthy and Tanja Hinder designed this family home on B.C.’s South Pender Island with the surrounding landscape in mind. In the guest wing, walls of windows bring the outdoors in, while open stairs let natural light flood the foyer.
