DIY Botanical-Print Vases

Materials and Tools

  • Milk bottles or vases
  • Botanical art or photos
  • Colour printer
  • Full-sheet clear decals
  • Scissors
  • Credit card

Step 1: Source vessels and images. I used old-fashioned milk bottles, but any smooth glass or ceramic vase will do. Use your own photo of a flower from your garden, or find royalty-free botanical images on websites like Vintageprintable.com. Do a test-print of your image on regular paper to make sure it’s the right size for your vase.

Step 2: Check to make sure you have the type of printer indicated on the decal package or the sheets may jam. Print the images on the clear decals and trim as close as possible to the design. Peel off the decal backing and stick to the vase, using a credit card to smooth out any air bubbles. When needed, wash the vase by hand.
