
This is an unpretentious open-faced sandwich made on the grill. Serve it with a simple green salad.
Yield:
6 servings Ingredients:
1 recipe Horseradish Sauce
1 recipe Herb Butter
1 sourdough loaf, sliced into 6 1"-thick slices
6 striploin steaks
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Step 1: Make Horseradish Sauce and keep warm.
Step 2: Make Herb Butter. Spread both sides of each piece of bread with Herb Butter. Set aside.
Step 3: Salt and pepper steaks for grilling. Grill steaks to desired doneness. Grill both sides of bread slices until golden and edges are crispy.
Step 4: Place one slice of grilled bread on each serving plate. Top with steaks and drizzle with Horseradish Sauce.
