Restoration Hardware Launches New Teen Line

Long a mecca for trad-with-a-twist decorating staples, this fall RH Restoration Hardware expanded its offerings to include RH Teen, a collection of furniture, lighting, linens and accessories geared to high-school and college students.

They came out swinging, releasing a wide assortment of looks and pieces — something for every teen, from the glam aspiring fashionista and the gritty wannabe artist to the pro athlete-in-training and the young music impresario. Items range from upholstered headboards and roomy storage systems to illuminated marquee signs, shaggy Beni Ouarain-style rugs, metallic leather poufs, crystal jewelry and avant-garde cell phone covers.

There’s a pronounced grown-upness to the offerings, which is smart considering the price tags on these pieces is markedly higher than what you’d find at a big-box store. At least if kids outgrow things, parents can work the work pieces into their own spaces!

“Today, teens have tremendous exposure to design through multiple web and social media platforms and are becoming tastemakers in their own right,” says RH chairman and CEO Gary Friedman. “We believe that RH Teen represents an opportunity to infuse taste and style into a market that has been underserved.”
