Easy DIY: Holiday Calendar

Published on December 10, 2015

  1. Repurpose an old picture frame to hang the project. Apply silver-leaf to amp up the glitz factor.
  2. Cut mat board to fit frame, then measure out 24 spots on which to place your calendar containers. Try small aluminum screw-top spice tins for an inexpensive and reusable container option.
  3. Affix tins using Velcro dots for easy reattachment, then print out images of vintage fabrics and cut them to fit in the clear lids.
  4. Fill each tin with candies or seasonal messages and for the 24th, make an extra-special addition: we used a Tiffany & Co. box to reinforce the jewel-box theme.
