Anne Hathaway Snags NYC Penthouse For $2.55M

As Anne Hathaway expands her family – the Oscar-winning actress is currently pregnant with her first child – she’s doing the same to her real estate portfolio. But unlike most expectant parents, she and her husband, actor and producer Adam Shulman, are downsizing. So no, she did not buy the loft from The Devil Wears Prada.
The parents-to-be just purchased a 1,200-square-foot penthouse in the Upper West Side for $2.55 million, and it’s less than half the size of her old place in Brooklyn. Described by the broker as an “Urbane Neo-Georgian Mansion,” the private home was built in 1904.
We’re guessing the move is temporary as Anne is starring in a one woman show in New York come April. Click through to see the historic property the Oscar-winning actress will call home during her time on broadway.

The five-unit penthouse boasts a private terrace, two balconies, skylights in both bedrooms, and an 18-foot ceiling kitchen with wine storage.

The living room’s white walls and mod mantel offer a neutral backdrop for Anne’s decor.

The adjoined living and dining space may be small, but natural light provides an open feel.

A rather funky, contemporary bathroom is unexpected.

The terrace is spacious with a seating area and tons of greenery – perfect for weekend relaxation.

And lets not forget about the stunning Upper West Side views of the surrounding neighborhoods.
