Annie Leibovitz’s $8.6M Central Park Apartment Is A Classic Beauty
Famed photographer Annie Leibovitz fell in love with her Upper West Side duplex apartment in New York City because of the light. She’s now selling her duplex in The Brentmore (Sting, Paul Simon, and Lorne Michaels have all lived in this 12-storey co-op, built in 1910) for almost $3 million less than she paid for it, according to therealdeal.com. She bought it in 2014 for $8.6 million, and it contains four bedrooms and three bathrooms, occupies the fifth and sixth floors, and has stunning views over Central Park.

There’s enough space in the 32′-by-20′ living room for a grand piano, as well as a library.
Spanning two levels, the duplex has elegant high ceilings, panelling and mouldings. A dramatically dark parquet floor contrasts the pale blush walls.
The grand formal dining room is one of the duplex’s high points. It seamlessly opens up from the living room via French doors. Giant windows frame views of Central Park West, while above, the plaster ceiling provides plenty of interest.
