January: A Minimal Entryway
A neutral palette of white, wood and deep blue creates serenity in this Vancouver Craftsman-style home. “We wanted it to be like a big comfy sweater,” says designer Cathy Radcliffe of the welcoming entry, complete with a rustic table and modern Cassina stool.

February: An Artful Entryway
A large fibreglass piece by artist Frank van Reenen sets the scene of this gallery-like Toronto home. “There was a lot of shock when I put it up, but everyone loves it now,” says homeowner and Snob founder Denise Zidel.

March: A Bold Blue Entryway
A cobalt blue stair runner commands attention in this sophisticated Toronto foyer designed by Montana Burnett, drawing the eye up to the second floor. The curvaceous shape of the runner plays off of the brushed brass light fixture.

April: A Charming Vintage Entryway
With a few aesthetic changes, designer Sarah Richardson turned a dated foyer in Nashville, Tennessee, into a storied space — no renovation required. An antique-washed rug and playful paisley drapery keep the dark wood floors from feeling stuck-in-the-past.

May: A Maritime-Inspired Entryway
In this coastal Connecticut home by Tommy Smythe and Lindsay Mens Craig of Sarah Richardson Design, moody cloud wallpaper and a collection of nautical prints in mismatched frames feel right at home.

June: A European-Meets-Craftsman Entryway
An eclectic mix of treasured items — like a vintage console (right) — gives this quaint front entrance plenty of interest. Plus, a soft coat of robin’s egg blue paint ties in the bold tile underfoot.

July: An Earthy Entryway
As soon as you step into designer Sam Sacks’ breezy and bohemian cottage in Frontenac County, Ontario, an earthy green door sets the tone. White barnboard walls, a rustic bench and woven accessories warm up the entryway.

August: A Light-Filled Muskoka Entryway
In this elegant lake house designed by Sloan Mauran, vertical panelling in a grey-green hue harken back to classic cottage style, while an artful console and bee hive-like light fixture add a dose of sophistication.

September: A New England-Style Entryway
A coat of sunny yellow paint — Farrow & Ball’s India Yellow — feel fresh and inviting in designer Luke Havekes’ charming country retreat in Knowlton, Quebec.

October: A Luxe Palm Beach Entryway
Showcasing the landmark 1920s home’s stunning architectural details, this formal foyer delivers a warm welcome. A grand staircase leads to a show-stopping sculpture by Ugo Rondinone overlooking a sea of palm trees swaying in the breeze.

November: A Rustic Farmhouse Entryway
Dressed for the holidays with a garland of fresh greenery, this cozy holiday home in Port Perry, Ontario, makes a merry first impression. A 120-year-old reclaimed wood bench juxtaposes with the steel and glass front doors for a modern-trad mix.

December: A Grand Penthouse Entryway
Designer Katherine Newman knows how to turn any corner into a design moment — even a compact vestibule on the 65th floor of Toronto’s Shangri-La Residences. An oversized mirror and dramatic branches show off the apartment’s high ceilings.
