This Celebrity Couple’s $8M Brooklyn Townhouse Masters Old-Meets-New

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, also known as one of Hollywood’s most beloved celebrity couples, have just listed their home in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood for a whopping $8 million. The four-storey limestone townhouse was originally built in 1909 in French Renaissance Revival-style architecture, and has been restored to its original grandeur. Inside, modern furniture and pops of bright color contrast the home’s historic bones.
Click through to take a peek inside the impressive 5,200-square-foot space, featuring seven bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and tons of character.

A glass door with an antique wood frame leads into the home, hinting at the modern-meets-vintage mix inside.

The architectural detail is evident from the get-go, with ornate archways and impressively tall ceilings in the formal living space.

A mirror mimics the archway on the opposite side of the living room, visually expanding the space.

Leaded stained glass windows and built-in bookshelves wrap around a wood-burning fireplace in the middle parlor.

The gracious formal dining room comes complete with a gas fireplace and built-in glass cabinets.

A colorful, modular pendant light hovers over a rustic harvest table, providing tension between old and new.

Floor-to-ceiling windows, sliding doors and a skylight that runs the length of the kitchen provides plenty of natural light, while a long kitchen island offers a perfect spot to prep food and entertain.

For casual and larger gatherings, a spacious family room with exposed beams offers a cozy environment.

Upstairs, the grand master suite is enveloped in muted striped wallpaper.

The home’s historic integrity is maintained in the master bath with a stained glass skylight and windows.

The back den takes on a more contemporary note with a black and white palette.

There are four more bedrooms on the fourth floor…

…as well as one bathroom with a spacious stand shower and a tub clad in subway tile.

Outside, a cedar fence offers plenty of privacy to the spacious yard.
