Kerry Washington Sells French Country L.A. Home For $2.7M

Scandal star Kerry Washington and husband Nnamdi Asomugha listed their Hollywood Hills home for $2.7 million – almost $1 million more than they paid for it last year – and found a buyer almost immediately. This comes as no surprise, of course; the 1920s French chateau-inspired property is a unique find.
The 3,855-square-foot living space features a light-filled main house with four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a gym, and boasts scenic views of the Hollywood Hills. Other amenities include an outdoor living room with projection television, a guesthouse, a pool and a gas fire pit. Click through to see inside the celebrity’s impressive L.A. home.

The French chateau-inspired property sits back from the road behind gates that surround the entire estate.

The interiors are filled with natural light thanks to large windows and glass doors throughout.

The airy living room is anchored with a large Persian rug and plush couches. Colorful accessories propped on built-in bookshelves decorate the walls.

Arched walkways lead to a dining area off the kitchen, where a mahogany dining set is flanked by tall upholstered chairs.

Shaker-style cabinets and stainless steel appliances bring traditional charm to the galley kitchen. The Hollywood sign is visible from the bay window.

Though the master bedroom doesn’t have much in way of decor, the space’s three windows offer plenty of gorgeous natural light.

Floor-to-ceiling marble subway tiles encompass the master bathroom, where an archway above the tub creates a soothing space to unwind.

The requisite walk-in closet is a dream, boasting an excess of space and a variety of storage options.

The small office is kept simple with a modern desk and seating area.

A rustic wood-panelled wall brings an outdoorsy feel to the gym.
