Discover why we love them!

1. A Charming Dining Room In A Cape Cod-style Home
Designer Philip Mitchell’s traditional dining room charmed us with his collection of mix-and-match china, vintage cranberry glassware and simple roses in bud vases.

2. A Cozy Reading Nook And Games Area
This antique games table can comfortably host smaller get-togethers during the holidays. A built-in bench with hidden storage is a cozy place to curl up with a book.

3. A Contemporary Living Room In A Renovated Montreal Rowhouse
We love the pared down holiday look in this Montreal rowhouse, from the fresh wreaths on the window to the off-centred fireplace.

4. A Stone Clad Living Room Filled With Antiques
Much of this farmhouse’s comfortable, homey vibe comes from the couple’s hand-me-down family furniture, treasured heirlooms and found objects on display. “It’s a high-low mix infused with nature and history,” says the homeowner. The wing chairs came with the house!

5. A Beautiful Sight Line In A Stone Farmhouse
Framed in an evergreen garland and flanked by firewood, an old wooden doorway welcomes holiday visitors into the living area. A few feathery fir branches cut from the property, oversized pine cones, and simple floral arrangements suit the simple country vibe.

6. A Country Dining Table Set For A Holiday Meal
In the dining area of the same home, the family enjoys meals at a long harvest table made out of old white cedar baseboards that were removed from the home’s attic during a renovation. An antique baker’s rack displays the homeowner’s collection of Wedgwood and ironstone dishes.

7. An English-style Carriage House in Prince Edward County
Lorren Loveille’s carriage house interior was inspired by a 17th-century stone house in England, decorated exclusively in chalky white tones. A spruce wreath dresses up the bare windows of the salvaged 19th-century barn doors.

8. A Subtly Decorated Christmas Tree With Vintage Ornaments
Candy-hued vintage ornaments, a pressed-tin star garland, and gifts tied with wide bows add festive color in the white-on-white cabin.

9. A Classic City House
Lynda Reeves takes a pared down approach to holiday decorating in her former house. “I keep it simple and all-green with very little other color except for the chartreuse velvet ribbon; the ribbon color varies from year to year,” she says. “This is a traditional house and the elements are great, so why mess with it? Archie, our bearded collie, seems to agree!”

10. A Black and White Staircase Dressed For The Season
Come December, these homeowners decorate their stairs with freshly cut boughs festooned in ribbons. Swags of vintage Christmas cards are a personal touch.

11. French Doors Framed With Festive Planters
Designer Barbara Purdy had the clever idea to bring outdoor grapevine planters inside. Branches are an inexpensive way to create a festive feel, and the symmetry frames the pretty French doors to perfection.
