Five Spice Beef Kebabs Recipe

Recipe:

Step 1: Soak 10-12 bamboo skewers in cold water for 1 hour.

Step 2: Mix together the marinade ingredients. Put aside 1/4 cup of marinade for basting the kebabs. Pour remaining marinade over cubed beef and refrigerate for 4-5 hours.

Step 3: Remove beef from marinade and thread beef onto bamboo skewers.

Step 4: Preheat barbecue grill to 375°F (or medium-high).

Step 5: Place beef skewers on oiled grill. Grill for approximately 3 minutes per side or until done to taste.

Step 6: Remove from grill and cover lightly with foil sheet. Allow kebabs to cool 5 minutes before serving.

Ingredients

3 lb. sirloin steak, cut in 1″ cubes

Marinade
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
4 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
3 tsp fresh grated ginger
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sugar or brown rice syrup
1/4 cup dry sherry
2 tsp 5-spice powder
2 tbsp peanut oil
1-2 tsp chili flakes (more or less to taste)
