DIY: Holiday Gift Tree

Corral lightweight branches in a tall glass vase to make a holiday gift tree. We used wee kraft paper envelopes sealed with washi tape and hung by grosgrain ribbon. Here are three ways to make this clever idea work for you.

1. Chic Advent Calendar: Fill 24 envelopes with little treats, then let family members select one to share each day leading up to Christmas morning.

2. Playful Party Favors: Make sure there’s one envelope for each guest. Fill with candies, or a custom tea blend or spice rub.

3. Small Space-Friendly Tree: Hang some small ornaments amongst the bags, which don’t need to contain any goodies in this application. (Just stuff them with cotton balls or tissue so they look full.) Place gifts around the base of the vase and on the floor under the table, if necessary.
