5 Quick Appetizers For A Holiday Party

Round out your holiday feast with some fast and easy bites to serve before the main course.

Smoky Chèvre Log – In a food processor, coarsely grind roasted, salted almonds with smoked paprika. Roll a chèvre log in the mixture. Serve at room temperature with crackers.

Marinated Olives – Rinse and dry plain olives with paper towel. Marinate at room temperature with extra-virgin olive oil, chili flakes, orange zest and chopped fresh rosemary for at least one hour.

Smoked Salmon Roll-Ups – Roll slices of smoked salmon around thin strips of cucumber, avocado and pea sprouts to form cylinders. Cut into bite-size pieces, like maki rolls.

Pulled-Chicken Sliders – Pull leftover chicken into shreds. Heat meat in pan with barbecue sauce and a splash of cider vinegar. Serve topped with shaved cabbage on mini hamburger buns.

Chorizo Tapas – Cut dry-cured Spanish chorizo into thick rounds. Brown lightly in extra-virgin olive oil. Deglaze pan with hard cider. Serve with toothpicks.
