January: A Serene Scandi Bedroom
The pure color scheme of this West Coast principal bedroom is reminiscent of subdued Scandinavian design. Tonal wallpaper adds a hit of pattern and accents the unusual ceiling line without overpowering it.
February: An Eclectic, Colorful Bedroom
A lemony velvet upholstered bed and green side tables are juicy accents in Toronto retailer Denise Zidel’s global-inspired bedroom. A whimsical camel bench and punchy art add plenty of personality.
April: A Romantic Nashville Bedroom
This charming country bedroom bedecked in floral wallpaper in Tennessee gets an old-fashioned treatment from designer Sarah Richardson. The headboard is covered in a creamy chenille, and the California shutters are layered with handkerchief linen for softness.
May: A Quaint Coastal Bedroom
This seaside Connecticut home‘s sweet bedroom takes its color cues from the garden. The floral linen drapery fabric was used in reverse, to give it a faded, watercolor-like quality.
June: A Rustic Farm Bedroom
Designer Melody Duron emphasizes the pastoral setting of her nature-inspired bedroom with rustic exposed beams, a breezy bedskirt and floral print bedding and blinds.
July: A Treehouse-Style Cottage Bedroom
In the Muskoka cottage bedroom of Renee and Keith Metrick, the focus is on nature, not art. A wall of windows gives a clear view to the unique landscape, creating the illusion of sleeping outdoors.
August: A Polished Lake House Bedroom
Designer Sloan Mauran wanted this serene lake house bedroom to feel like a “retreat within a retreat.” She achieved the covetable look with paneled walls in cerused oak and a contemporary four poster bed.
September: A Luxurious Parisian Bedroom
This vintage bed — carved with rose and daisy details — was exactly the piece that entrepreneur Jackie Kai Ellis was searching for in her dreamy Paris apartment. The marble fireplace and oversized gilded mirror are two other classic French touches.
October: An Airy Palm Beach Bedroom
A tonal velvet headboard and soft shade of sage green on the walls adds an element of quiet luxury in this Palm Beach retreat. The 1960s chandelier embodies an element of surprise and eccentricity.
November: A Homespun Heritage Bedroom
Although the articulated lights in this Port Dover, Ontario, bedroom are new, the brass finish gives them a vintage vibe that suits the heritage house (this Georgian home was built in 1857) of floral and interior designer Cynthia Zamaria.
December: A Dramatically Modern Bedroom
A backlit onyx headboard creates a major design moment in this principal bedroom by up-and-coming designers Carey Mudford and Erin Coe. The stone’s striations and palette is so varied it reads as a piece of art.
