Editor’s Picks: 5 Inspiring Online Stores To Shop Now

Design editor Kai Ethier shares her favorite online shopping destinations for home decor.
Between producing photo shoots, putting together stories, chasing after my kids, and renovating my home (phew!), I find there’s less and less time in the day to browse my favorite stores. Still, the editor in me craves “the hunt,” so between jobs, I do the next best thing: I go online. Here are my top five sites to browse for inspiring design.

When I’m looking for great cushions, I always head to Marilyn Harrington Home. I particularly love her classic wool Checks and Liberty collections, but there’s lots of lovely solids on offer, too.

This shop is my go-to for rugs and pompom blankets. Their genuine Moroccan rugs in classic ivory and black are catching my eye these days, but they also come in beautiful colored versions that are truly unique. Their pompom blankets come in various shades and stripes, too, and I think they’re so fun for a kids’ room (though I’d happily take one for my own boudoir).

For beautiful trays and vases, I love to head to the site of Vancouver-based retailer Provide. They have an amazing variety of accessories in general — each piece feels carefully curated and special — but right now, the Boulevard Round tray and Small Delos vase are standing out to me.

I find it hard not to want everything from Chicago-based retailer Jayson Home, from their large pieces of furniture to their unique accessories. I especially love their tabletop items and linens, and am currently eyeing these black and white ceramic cups and lovely hand and bath towels.

When it comes to fabric for drapery and roman blinds, I adore Tonic Living’s selection (plus, they do a terrific job on custom window coverings). One of my favorite patterns is Millie, a soft, pretty floral with a vintage feel. I’m also obsessed with Tuscany Linen in Oatmeal Slub — in fact, I’m planning to use it in my own principal bedroom.
