Elton John Lists His Atlanta Condo for $4.9M

After more than 30 years, rock legend Sir Elton John put his 13,500-square-foot apartment Atlanta condo in Buckhead up for sale for just under $5 million, according to Mansion Global. Elton bought his first unit in the condominium complex in the early 1990s and eventually purchased five more apartments which he made into one mega suite. Scroll down for a look inside — and don’t miss the fashion icon’s impressive closet!

Elton once described the condominium complex in Buckhead as “the Rolls-Royce of condos in Atlanta.” He bought a roughly 2,500-square-foot duplex on the 36th floor of the building, and it served as his U.S. home base.

The soaring grand salon offers plenty of space for entertaining, including the formal dining room, with an overhead gallery space.

A seating area is topped by a coffered ceiling and walks out to a terrace.

This area serves as both an office and airy lounge.

On the second level gallery, a glitzy bar is backed in mirror.

The primary bedroom has a sleek marquetry armoire and a tray ceiling bordered by mirror to amplify all the natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

There is a wood-panelled seating area adjacent to the principal bedroom, and it includes a spa-like shower clad in onyx.

The home gym has spectacular views and Greek neoclassic touches, like Ionic columns and a frieze.

It’s no surprise that the fashion icon has a generous closet.

When he rose to stardom, Elton was known for his incredible collection of platform boots, so there is no skimping on the shoe racks.
