Meet Meghan Markle’s Rescue Dogs At Her Toronto Home
Prince Harry might face some stiff competition in the form of actress Meghan Markle’s two rescue dogs, Bogart and Guy. It’s obvious the Suits star (and Harry’s love interest) is devoted to her pooches; a glance through her Instagram feed reveals multiple shots from puppydom to present day taken in her Toronto apartment. Meghan makes no bones about her commitment to adopting rescues, tagging #adoptdontshop when posting pictures of her two dogs, Bogart and Guy. A built-in bench and mod chairs makes this sunny deck an ideal destination for more than just her canines.
Guy was adopted from a shelter in Kentucky. He seems to have settled into his new home in Meghan’s Toronto apartment quite nicely on this woven chair.
Bogart makes himself at home on Meghan’s sofa, which is layered with throws. The actress divides her time between California and Toronto, and the decor has a distinct Cali vibe with sheepskins, palms and slouchy, slip-covered white sofas.
Meghan regularly shines on the red carpet and knows her way around a photo shoot, so it’s no surprise her pooches hit the sartorial mark as well. Could Guy’s Union Jack sweater be a gift from Prince Harry?
Markle is a former lifestyle blogger (she has deactivated her three-year-old website, The Tig) but she still brings a stylist’s eye to these bookshelves, grouping covers by color.
Baby pictures don’t get much cuter than this shot of Bogart as a puppy.
How comfy is this Guy? The rumpled bed linens and tufted, upholstered headboard are an enticing invitation to cuddle up.
Bogart seems to approve of the cozy striped rug that warms up the wood floors in the main living space. Molded chairs and a plush rug are nods to Scandi style. We love the princess-worthy gilded mirror, casually leaning up against the feature wall in the dining area.
Neatly stacked books and black-and-white photos are a graphic touch. As for Guy’s loving gaze, that’s just gravy.
