Shops We Love: Mejuri Opens Its Second Location In Toronto
Updated on January 8, 2024

Popular Canadian Jewelry brand Mejuri has opened its second retail location in Toronto at Yorkdale Mall. The city’s first location on Dundas West can often be seen with a line down the street of shoppers awaiting the brand’s weekly “jewelry drops.” According to co-founder Noura Sakkijha, “Toronto represents the beginning of Mejuri; it is our homebase.” Since launching the brand in 2015, they have opened over 10 brick and mortar locations across North America and the U.K. “Many of our very first Toronto customers are still shopping with us. We’re expanding globally, but the relationships we hold with our community here empowers us to continue to deliver new stores and pieces.”

The contemporary facade of the new Yorkdale location is inspired by Mejuri’s Jenna Lyons Signet Ring for its simple facetted design.

The light and airy space echoes the design of Mejuri’s existing stores, defined by a minimalist and neutral aesthetic. The stores all feature a mix of custom modular mirrors, streamlined millwork and simple jewelry displays.

The L-shaped bar invites customers to connect with Mejuri’s jewelry consultants who counsel on how to stack and layer their classic pieces. A gold foot rest is a playful ode to their classic gold collections, while hits of green bring an outdoor element to the mall location.

The interiors are all designed in-house, an on trend mix of curvy furniture, terrazzo floor tiles and creamy walls.

The store is meant to feel intimate, with easily accessible jewelry displays designed to mimic the comfort of a customer’s own bedroom vanity.
