Shops We Love: Discover Talented Québécois Makers At Shoppologie
Published on September 25, 2020

Fresh off of designing their country chalet in the Eastern Townships, interior stylist Chloé Lina and her husband, Louis, fell head over heels for a nearby storefront in the heart of Lac-Mégantic, Quebec. It was the ideal spot to open the boutique Shoppologie, Chloé’s passion project, complete with a second level the pair turned into a new home for their family of four. After they bought the place, they divided the main level into two stores, then Chloé got to work bringing her shop to life with whitewashed walls, antique furniture, boho throw pillows, bundles of sage and local treasures by Québécois makers.

The shop is located at 4859 Rue Laval in Lac-Mégantic, a charming town in Quebec’s Eastern Townships.

Wooden utensils and serving platters by Atelier La Louve are parked in the center of the 600-square-foot space, while La Marcotterie bar soaps line a vintage dresser that Chloé refinished herself.

“I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do,” says Chloé (pictured). “I’m being creative and helping people feel good at home.”

The back of the boutique is where the real magic happens — Chloé custom-restores antique furniture for clients and puts paintbrush to canvas (her paintings are displayed throughout the store).

Black and white ceramics by Cindy Labrecque and Écaille Pérenne bring modern sophistication to your tabletop or kitchen counter.

As the temperature drops, cozy up in this wool blanket with a playful tassel trim — it also looks stylish casually draped over a chaise or bed.

Serve up salads, soups or dips in this hand-carved wooden bowl, which is all wrapped up in a leather ribbon for a rustic touch.

A crackling soy candle with earthy notes of fig and cypress is an everyday luxury.
