Architect Darcie Watson’s bathroom is one of the most striking we’ve seen, thanks to a double-sided fireplace in a dramatic marble wall that divides the bedroom from bathroom. A spacious dressing room is attached.

The high contrast pairing of a black shower door and white marble in Scott Yetman’s Montreal pied-à-terre is a signature move for the designer.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and pale marble floors make this condo aerie feel bright on the most overcast days. A furry stool is a comforting touch in the clean, efficient design.

In Lynda Reeves’ renovated bathroom, a mix of pale woods, creamy paint and brass accents add to the luxurious feel. The size and oval shape of the IOS Volcanic Limestone tub by Victoria + Albert is “perfectly in scale with the space,” she says.

Who wouldn’t love to unwind in this sophisticated Calgary bathroom’s sculptural tub? Lush floor-to-ceiling drapes safeguard privacy while lavish moldings and graphic hex tiles provide plenty to look at.

This Montreal bathroom has a definite European flair, thanks to patterned tile in the shower enclosure, a Louis XV-inspired vanity and matching trumeau mirrors.

This grand Muskoka cottage affords gorgeous views of the trees and the lake. Two-tone drapes frame the windows and add a softening element, while inlaid wood floors were chosen to resemble floorboards with layers of paint.

A custom-painted clawfoot tub is the centerpiece of the bathroom in Sloane Klevin’s Hudson River Valley weekend retreat. Black accents such as the shower head and towel bars pop against the room’s stark white envelope.

The vintage-inspired sconces and a quaint curved tub suits the classic architecture that is often found in homes like this one in the Laurentians, just outside of Montreal.

Pale watery hues and a glass shower door make the guest bathroom in Genevieve Makinson and James Aitken’s home feel light and airy — and larger than it is.

In this principal bathroom, a floating vanity adds a modern touch, but it’s the graceful curved tub in front of the windows that gets star billing.

In her powder room, Drake’s party planner Catriona Smart wasn’t afraid to go dramatic. Eye-catching wallpaper makes a big statement and is a perfect foil for the porcelain fixtures.
