To give us an insider’s look into what makes Fulgor Milano what it is today, we asked TJ Sajan, Senior Manager of Single-Family Builder Sales at Trail Appliances in Surrey, B.C., why the brand continues to be a customer favourite.

H&H: How does Fulgor Milano’s Italian heritage reflect in the appliances they create?
TJ: The story of Fulgor Milano is closely tied to the history of the Meneghetti family who has deep roots in the Veneto region of Italy. Their goal is to build on its heritage and develop cooking appliances that exceeds all expectations of quality, performance and styling — a design that is uniquely Italian. By bringing us a line of products that inspire us to cook and create with passion at home, Fulgor Milano has exceeded expectations in their beauty, durability and functionality.

TJ: Fulgor Milano’s freestanding range and its variety of cooktop options are stand-outs and sets them apart from their competitors. Its professional lines — the Sofia and Accento — both have ranges available in various widths that carry four to six multi-setting double-stacked burners and top out at 20,000 BTU. Or, choose a smooth top induction element with 5,000 watts (there’s also an integrated griddle option which can be easily removed). Single or double oven configurations (up to 7.1 cubic feet capacity!) are also available.

H&H: What is your favourite Fulgor Milano appliance right now?
TJ: The dual-fuel ranges! Its ease of use, durability and attention to detail is exceptional. For example, the knobs are metal, not plastic. And, the metal surrounding of the knobs are thick billet aluminum, so if you bang it with a pot or pan it won’t dent like stainless steel. The soft-close of the oven door is a small statement, but impressive. You can literally close it with the gentlest of touches!
