Watercress Salad

Recipe: Sasha Seymour

Touches of honey and cayenne punch up the classic combo of lemon juice and olive oil.


  • 1 tbsp warm water
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • Pinch cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 bunches watercress, washed, large stems removed


Yield: Serves 6

  1.  In large bowl, stir together warm water and honey until honey is melted. Add lemon juice, oil and cayenne and whisk together. Just before serving, add watercress and toss to coat. Season and serve with latkes.
