White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies Recipe
From top to bottom:
1 cup macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
1 cup white chocolate chips
1-1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
In addition to the contents of the jar, you will need to add the following ingredients:
2/3 cup shortening
1 tsp vanilla
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step 2: Beat shortening, eggs and vanilla with electric mixer (may appear curdled).
Step 3: Pour mix in larger bowl, mix well, and stir into shortening mixture until well blended.
Step 4: Drop dough 1 tablespoon at a time onto ungreased cookie sheet 2″ apart.
Step 5: Bake for 9-11 minutes or until set. Cool for 2 minutes.
Makes approximately 36 cookies
