Despite her busy schedule, design celebrity Sarah Richardson still finds time to cook and entertain. “My entertaining style is relaxed, but I like a kitchen with all the perks, including lots of counter space and pro-inspired appliances,” she says. Her own homes have appliances by Monogram Canada, inspiring Sarah to partner with the brand. For the Monogram Design Centre in Toronto, Sarah took a contemporary approach to nautical blue, white and brass. See the sophisticated showroom kitchen below.
Sarah painted the Shaker-style cabinets by AyA Kitchens and Baths a rich navy blue, which brings a jewel-box quality to the space when paired with brass accents and geometric details, like the hexagon backsplash and stools.
Panels conceal a Monogram 24″ Integrated Column freezer and 30″ Integrated Column refrigerator.
The Monogram 30″ Electronic Convection Single wall oven and Monogram 30″ Induction cooktop are built into the lower cabinets.
Open shelving under the Caesarstone waterfall island keeps everyday items at easy reach.
Blue ceramic serveware and brass cutlery continues the bold color palette.
A modern gold faucet pops against the marble backsplash.
“We’re moving toward kitchens that feel more inviting, with soft lighting, art and surfaces that are soft to the touch,” says Sarah.
