Chris Hemsworth’s Stunning Malibu Mini-Mansion

Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky officially moved their family to his native Australia earlier this year, leaving behind a stunning Malibu mini-mansion on the market for a cool $6.5 million. The mansion recently sold for closer to $5.25 million.
The ‘Thor’ star and his wife originally purchased the 6,800-square-foot home from another Australian actor, “Crocodile Dundee” star Paul Hogan in 2013. The secluded estate is located in Malibu‘s coveted Point Dume neighborhood, and is described in its listing as “a marriage of classic Victorian elegance and modern European sensibility.” Click through to see the five-bedroom, six-bathroom property.

The front of the home looks as though it’s out of a storybook, with a canopy of lush trees above the entrance.

Wall panelling adds architectural interest to the entryway while a stained glass peep hole on the door retains the home’s character.

A stained black staircase is striking against the entryway’s white walls.

A sweet little nook off the side of the living room is the perfect place to read.

A mod fireplace brings warmth to the all-white living room.

The showstopper in this dining room is undoubtedly the iridescent chandelier that resembles a shiny disco ball.

The family room has a relaxed cottage vibe, complete with open shelves that display found items and a seagrass rug that plays off the natural palette.

A large picture of someone surfing — Chris himself has been known to ride the waves — creates a statement above the sofa.

A bay window in the family room is perfect for enjoying views of the surrounding greenery.

The farmhouse-style kitchen is grand, complete with soaring ceilings, a large island and dusty blue cabinets.

Styled exposed shelves show off decorative glassware.

We think every kitchen should have a fireplace!

Luxe lighting fixtures and a velvety rug dress up the serene master bedroom.

An oversized carved wood mirror gives the large bedroom even more visual space.

No Malibu master suite is complete without a private balcony with mountain and ocean views.

The bathroom plays into the home’s vintage European vibe, with exposed plumbing and a weathered concrete countertop.

Here is one of the guest bedrooms where we suspect Chris’ brother, Liam Hemsworth, might have stayed when visiting.

A little one-on-one foosball match against Chris? We wouldn’t mind.

Both Chris and Elsa are into fitness, so a complete at-home gym helps them get their workouts in.

A huge yard features lush plantings and blooming trees, plus a stunning view of the back of the house.
