Julia Roberts’s Former Montana Lake House Listed For $12M

A Montana lakefront lodge – reportedly built for actress Julia Roberts as a wedding gift by her then-fiancé Kiefer Sutherland in the early ’90s – has hit the market for a whopping $12 million. Located on a secluded alcove on the northeastern shore of Whitefish Lake, the lodge, known as Goldenbear Ranch, was fully renovated in 2015 by the current owners.
The rustic-chic interior boasts five bedrooms, six baths, a stainless-steel kitchen, a fitness center, two wet bars and a large wine room. Click through to see the grand celebrity-worthy estate.

The 8,000-square-foot alpine retreat features a log exterior.

The logs carry on into the interior walls, lending a rustic feel to the space.

The lodge features a games room with a red pool table and a pinball machine. A soaring stone fireplace centers the space.

Neutral decor in the main living area complements the natural wood finishes.

The dining room has country flair, with stately dining chairs and a wrought-iron chandelier. The space opens up to the terrace, making it a great spot to entertain.

The neutral color palette extends to the gourmet kitchen, where grey-painted cabinets have a worn look.

A casual dining area overlooks the beautiful surrounding scenery.

The bedroom is the ultimate escape, with dreamy views of the surrounding trees and waterfront.

A second-floor terrace, which spans the length of the home, looks out onto the lake.

A private dock on the lake makes use of the waterfront real estate.

The property also includes a 2,200-square-foot guesthouse with a private garage.
