Mother/daughter duo Linda Haynes and Devin Connell are quite a team. While growing up, Devin absorbed much about the pleasures of food and cooking in the kitchen of her mother. She too became an exceptional cook, with her own style. Two Dishes (2009 McClelland & Stewart) gives mother and daughter’s distinctive takes on a similar theme: one using timeless techniques, the other embracing an improvisational, budget-conscious approach. After founding Ace Bakery in 1993 with her husband, Linda has been hard at work spreading her culinary tips with three cookbooks.
