Backyard Makeover: See A Spectacular City Retreat With Multiple Zones

Designer Jenna Cadieux gives us a tour of this spectacular outdoor oasis. See how she and a landscape architect reconfigured the backyard, replacing a dark and dated cabana with a Cali-style open version that shades a lounge area. The multilevel backyard has an ipé deck with an outdoor kitchen and small dining area. The sleek surfaces feature a minimalist and weather-resistant material from Caesarstone, giving the space a cool European look. On the lower level, a larger dining table next to the cabana is perfect for hosting parties. High maintenance grass and plantings were replaced with large stone slabs and specimen trees, with a discreet custom fountain built into the stairs to provides a sensory experience.
