“Our clients are a young family who lead busy lives with little kids, but they’re also a creative, artsy couple, so there’s that balance of having colour, classic design elements, while also making it super functional,” says designer Jo Levitan, who worked with her partner Maayan Kessler of Kessler Levitan Design. The kitchen pairs natural stone counters and backsplash with a richly coloured island. “It’s red but it’s got enough muddiness to it that it feels like an organic rusty siena red,” says Jo.
