“It was very important to the homeowner that this felt like an old farmhouse,” says designer Kate Dickson. “She wanted it to feel rustic, homey and not modern — like it had been here forever.” In this home makeover, Kate transformed a dark and dated house into a bright and welcoming retreat while preserving original features, including a cast iron stove in the sunny yellow kitchen and an original wood fireplace in the green dining room.
