How To Choose The Right Flooring For Your Lifestyle
Updated on May 29, 2022

The largest surface in most kitchens and bathrooms is the floor. Choose based on the look you want and the way you live. Scroll down!

Engineered Wood
Hardwood veneer gives this the look of solid wood, but these layered, bonded planks are better in humidity. Can’t refinish often; not ideal for bathrooms.

Solid Hardwood
Solid hardwood floors have a timeless beauty. While they’re susceptible to moisture and wear, they can be sanded and refinished. Not good for bathrooms.

Laminate
An economical choice, laminate flooring is a multilayered product that’s topped with a photographic image and a wear layer.

Natural Stone
Stones such as marble, limestone and granite offer luxurious beauty in a variety of colors, finishes and veining. Most stone needs sealing to protect it from moisture.

Ceramic Or Porcelain Tile
Porcelain absorbs almost no water, making it great for kitchens or bathrooms. There are lots of options in terms of color, size, shape and price.

Vinyl
Extremely durable and scratch- and water-resistant, vinyl is a budget-friendly choice. Often designed with a wood-plank look, vinyl can also mimic stone or tile.
