Tour A Dream Cottage On Lake Muskoka

This magnificent family cottage on Lake Muskoka is a dream summer retreat. Designer Cameron MacNeil created a luxury cottage that’s both elegant and laid-back by blending contemporary design elements with Muskoka’s signature rustic style. Get design tips for creating the same look in your summer escape.

Almost every room features incredible panoramic views of the water, so Cameron kept a consistent color palette to let the natural landscape shine through. Soft shades of blue and white blanket the interior with a fresh and airy feel. To juxtapose the classic hues, Cameron opted for rustic reclaimed wood floors. In addition to the home’s modern amenities, the main living room features a gorgeous wood-burning fireplace, making the Ontario cabin the perfect all-season escape.
