Kate Fincham was renting a house in downtown Toronto and living with four housemates before she came across a houseboat for sale in the Scarborough Bluffs area in 2020. Custom built by an artist in the 1990’s, Kate purchased the home and moved in with her cat. See how she brought in her own personal touches by transforming the multifunctional home into a modern oasis. In the kitchen, she switched out the cabinet doors with caning and matte black handles. The bright and beautiful bathroom features a free-standing tub and water closet, while the main living space has an antique desk that converts into an extendable dining table for dinner parties.
