Dishes from the Food Network host's cookbooks.
Iron Chef, TV favourite, and restaurateur Bobby Flay has released cookbook after cookbook, all filled with his irresistible recipes for grilling, entertaining and casual family dining. His newest cookbook, Bar Americain (2011 Clarkson Potter), is based on the all-American dishes served at his Bar Americain restaurants in the U.S. — hearty comfort food like cheese gratin and classic favourites like mint julep. He also compiled top picks from the Food Network show Throwdown With Bobby Flay in his 2010 release, Throwdown, and his top diner dishes in 2009's Burgers, Fries & Shakes. Here, sample recipes from all three books, including some warm winter dishes like pumpkin bread pudding and shellfish gumbo.
