Inside Chip & Joanna Gaines’ New Rental Home, Hillcrest Estate
Published on August 23, 2017

Chip and Joanna Gaines of HGTV’s hit show Fixer Upper have opened up a rental home — in addition to The Magnolia House — in the heart of Waco, Texas. The historical house, known as Hillcrest Estate, dates from 1903, and the Magnolia Home team gave it a fresh look while still maintaining the property’s old-time charm.
With room for the whole family and local amenities close by, we have a feeling this one will fill up fast! Click through to take a peek inside.

The home’s exterior strikes a classic note. A pillared porch sets the stage for a symmetrical façade with two matching wings off the main house.

A sweet planter dresses up the understated front door.

In the spacious entryway, a quiet nook is created with a cozy armchair and minimalist side table.

A pair of islands in the kitchen makes it perfect for entertaining large groups. Smart pull cups, caged lantern pendants and Shaker-style cabinet fronts add polish to the country-inspired space.

French doors flood the eat-in kitchen with light, while a weathered armoire adds charm.

A cozy dark blue games room is the perfect spot for a rousing card game or two!

True to Magnolia Market-style, the living room is decked out with shabby-chic chairs and art pieces that ooze southern charm.

The rental house sleeps 12 — perfect for a family reunion or weekend away with friends.

This bedroom — one of seven in the house — is decked out with nubby bed linens.

These sunny yellow pillows would be the perfect thing to wake up to!
