Basement Makeover: A Mid-Century Modern Bungalow
After renovating the main floor of her mid-century modern bungalow, designer Jackie Glass tackled the basement in her new home. See how she transformed a dark, closed-off space into an open-concept lower level perfect for entertaining family and friends. Jackie completely gutted the space by taking down the walls and then creating zones. The lounge area features a stone wall with wine storage, while the TV area is designed to be kid-friendly. Thanks to the additional 1,000-square-foot expansion, Jackie was able to create a gym and spa. Outside, a cozy patio with comfy seating overlooks the pond and surrounding landscape, offering an inviting spot for morning coffee or afternoon reading.
