This lakeside cottage has a traditional ’70s Pan Abode structure, complete with large windows, beams and a sloped ceiling. The main hub has a wood-burning fireplace, a large comfortable couch and a tufted ottoman, making it the perfect spot to admire the surrounding scenery in every season. Karen has filled the space with repurposed pieces including a dining table that used to be a console, and a sculptured wall piece that’s now used as a headboard in the bedroom.

The kitchen is a mix between bistro and farmhouse style, with terracotta tiles and barnwood shelving. The real treat is the deck, which is used as an outdoor hallway that connects the bedroom, kitchen and living room.
