Laura Calder’s Cranberry Sauce

In our house, we go the classic route for cranberry sauce. We also like to have lots — this recipe makes a big batch!

Ingredients

Serves 3

  • 3 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
  • 1 1⁄2 cups boiling water

Directions

  1. Pick over and wash cranberries. In pot, combine cranberries with sugar and water, and bring to boil. Cook until skins pop, about 10 minutes. Watch pot to prevent boiling over.
  2. Skim off any white froth and cool. Refrigerate until ready to use.
