Laura Calder’s Cranberry Sauce

In our house, we go the classic route for cranberry sauce. We also like to have lots — this recipe makes a big batch!
Ingredients
Serves 3
- 3 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 1 1⁄2 cups boiling water
Directions
- Pick over and wash cranberries. In pot, combine cranberries with sugar and water, and bring to boil. Cook until skins pop, about 10 minutes. Watch pot to prevent boiling over.
- Skim off any white froth and cool. Refrigerate until ready to use.
