A Downtown Victorian Gets A Moody Mediterranean Makeover

The design brief for this Toronto home reno? “All things Italian,” says designer Jennifer Kominek. In reality, the main goal was to increase the residence’s functionality so the clients could make full use of the home’s three storeys. The design inspiration leaned heavily on classic architectural elements, ornate details and modern, minimal furnishings. Favourite design moments include the dark and moody powder room hidden behind a sleek wood facade, and the intricate custom laser-cut stairs leading to the mudroom.
