- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 tbsp steak seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 6 tbsp barbecue sauce
- 3 oz. spreadable goat cheese
- 8 strips cooked bacon
- 4 whole wheat or sesame buns
- Desired toppings
Directions
- Prepare an outdoor grill for high heat.
- In a medium bowl add meat, garlic, onion and cumin. Mix until just combined; Divide into four balls, and gently form into 1″ thick patties. Sprinkle with steak seasoning and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
- Lightly brush both sides of each patty with some oil and place on grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through. Brush 1/2 of the barbecue sauce on burgers and cook for 1 additional minute; flip burgers, spread with remaining sauce and cook for another 1 minute until sauce has carmelized.
