1. Concentrated Cleaning Vinegar

This unique product from Toronto’s Pretty Clean Shop is a disinfectant and fabric softener in one.

2. Kind Home Multi-Surface Cleaner

Bottled in a container sourced from reclaimed ocean plastic, this cleaner is made with aromatic peppermint and tea tree essential oils.

3. Savon Noir Liquid Black Hand Soap

At The Soap Dispensary and Kitchen Staples in Vancouver, you’ll find refills on more than 800 bulk products, plus ingredients for making your own cleaning essentials. This hot-find hand soap does the job of a dozen household cleaners in one.

4. Laundry Detergent

The Unscented Company started because the CEO, Anie Rouleau, was trying to deal with her own scent sensitivities and quickly figured out that scents can trigger asthma and allergies in everyone, and disrupt the body’s hormones. The company now offers its laundry detergent in a large jug, a refillable box and in tab form.

5. Fresh Lavender Laundry Detergent

Unilever is making everyday cleaning more eco-friendly with its new-look Seventh Generation line, including laundry and dish detergent. By 2025, all of the plant-based products will have entirely recyclable, recycled or biodegradable packaging.

7. Kliin Cleaning Products

What started as a reusable paper towel by Quebec entrepreneur Marie-Pierre Bérubé has become a full-blown eco-friendly cleaning company with spray bottles, cleaning pods and designer collabs.

Kliin has just recently launched laundry detergent sheets that biodegrade during a cycle, rather than using a liquid formulation.

9. Guests On Earth All-Purpose Cleaner Kit

New Toronto start-up Guests on Earth makes eco-friendly cleaning products that look good enough to leave out on your counter. With aluminum packaging that’s recyclable and refillable, products include a natural, all-purpose cleaner and a foaming hand soap that come in concentrated formulas and two fragrances: Desert Dawn and Dunes at Dusk.

10. Saje Cleaning Products

Known for its aromatherapy products, Saje has just released an updated line of multisurface, bathroom, and glass and mirror cleaners. Kits come with a recyclable glass spray bottle and small vial of concentrated cleaner.
