Baked Pears With Blueberries Recipe

Step 1: Heat the oven to 400°F. Lay the pear halves in a baking dish just large enough to hold them.

Step 2: Scatter the pears with the blueberries, followed by the sugar. Put 1/2 tsp of butter on each pear half. Drizzle over a judicious amount of liqueur, if using.

Step 3: Cover with foil and bake until the pears are perfectly tender, about 45 minutes. Serve the pear halves with the blueberry juices spooned over.

1/2 cup wild low-bush blueberries
6 tbsp sugar
4 tsp butter
Drizzle of cassis or blueberry liqueur (optional)
